Why prefer natural leather?

Natural leather is more durable, comfortable, heat resistant, elastic, flexible and hypoallergenic, in addition to having better breathability due to its high porosity than synthetic materials. It also produces less waste as by-products, since "vegan leather" is usually made of plastic fabrics and pvc resins (polyurethane), materials with a low biodegradability, which generates a lasting residue in time and in the environment. Natural leather takes 25 to 40 years to disintegrate without posing a threat to the environment. In contrast, pvc takes approximately 300 years.

 

Despite all the advantages that natural leather offers, we are working to offer animal-free alternatives and hope to soon have news with products that offer better biodegradability than pvc.

​It is important to note that we use every scrap of leather available in the manufacture of accessories such as key chains and others to minimize waste as much as possible.
